Registration questions

How do I register as an individual for Walk for Justice 2024?

You can register right here! Once you’ve successfully registered and completed all the steps, you’ll receive a confirmation email to the address provided. If you get stuck, send us an email at admin@justicenet.org.au – we’ll make sure your registration is processed. If you’re a gold or silver sponsor,your registration will be handled by us!

How do I register as a team, organisation or firm for Walk for Justice 2024?

Follow this link! When you register, you can choose to enter a team. You can then fundraise together, and compete with other registered Walk for Justice teams.

Can I join an existing team?

Yes – just select the team name from the list when registering. If you’ve registered as an individual and would now like to join a team, email admin@justicenet.org.au with your name and team name, and we’ll merge you into the chosen team.

How much does it cost to register for Walk for Justice?

Registration is free for JusticeNet SA members and sponsors, or it’s $25 for non-members. If you’d like to become a JusticeNet SA member before you register, it’s not too late! 

How do I become a JusticeNet SA member?

We offer both individual and corporate memberships. You can find out more about our fees and sign up here

What does my registration include?

Your registration covers your bandana, breakfast, wristband, maps, and logistical staffing on the day. 

Can my employer or organisation pay for my registration fee?

Yes, employers or organisations can register as team captains, and pay the registration fee for their team members. You can register as part of a team without payment, then your team captain can pay your registration fee.

Registration is free for sponsors so your company might want to be a sponsor or member! Email admin@justicenet.org.au to find out more. 

Fundraising questions

How do I get a t-shirt?

To win a t-shirt, you need to raise $250 before 24 April 2024 (if you’d like to wear it on the day). If you’re fundraising as a team, only team members that raise $250 will receive a t-shirt.

How can I fundraise for the event?

We've prepared a fundraising guide packed full of our recommended strategies, and ideas for activities. Start by telling your family and friends about the event, and ask them to donate by sponsoring your walk. All donations will go towards your individual or team totals.

Where do the funds from Walk for Justice go?

Walk for Justice raises vital funds for JusticeNet SA, a not-for-profit legal service connecting in-need South Australians with free legal support. Our pro bono clearing house and discrete task assistance clinics support those experiencing hardship: including poverty and homelessness, refugees and asylum seekers, and people representing themselves in court. 

Event FAQs

When and where is Walk for Justice 2024?

We’ll begin Walk for Justice 2024 on May 21 at Adelaide Oval with a Welcome to Country and address by Attorney-General Kyam Maher MLC at 7am, then we’ll walk around Karrawirra Parri (River Torrens) from 7.30am. We’ll give you a map to follow, and show you where to meet for breakfast at Adelaide Zoo at 8.30am.

What time does the event finish?

The formalities finish at approximately 9am. You’re welcome to leave for the office or stay on at the Adelaide Zoo.

What's for breakfast?

We’ve followed feedback to lower registration fees and keep the breakfast light. So this year it’s tea, coffee and juice along with fresh fruit and muffins (sponsored by One Tree Hill bakery) at the end of the walk.

How long is the walk in 2024?

This year’s walking route will take us from Adelaide Oval to Adelaide Zoo over a 3.4km loop of Karrawirra Parri (River Torrens). You can complete the route as a leisurely stroll or a run – the choice is yours.

How can I share my dietary requirements with you?

The breakfast will be self-serve with a number of options so everyone can pick their favourite snacks from the spread.

Can I bring my friends to the walk?
